An animated model of a company headquarters, built floor by floor, that illustrates the story told in the text.
The enterprise takes shape.
liquidOS is the operating system we are building to run a company's operation from a description of what it does. When the business changes, the operation changes with it.
Today
Most operations are frozen in place.
What a company does is spread across manuals, org charts, and years of system customizing. Changing one process means updating all of them, so change waits in a queue.
The idea
Describe what your business means, once.
liquidOS starts from a semantic model: one shared description of what you deliver, to whom, who owns each outcome, and which limits apply. Everything else is built from it.
Your estate
Your systems stay where they are.
The model connects to the CRM, ERP, and document store you already run, through their APIs and adapters. Nothing is torn down.
Composition
From the model, the operation is built.
liquidOS composes each department as a floor: its processes, rules, and AI agents, all from the model. The work that needs people stays with your team.
Operation
Then the lights come on.
Cases arrive and move from floor to floor. AI agents work within the limits you approve, and anything outside them goes to your team with the evidence prepared.
Department
Every floor is a department.
Lift Finance's roof to see how the model became work: processes, decisions, and the people who own them.
Process
Every room is a process.
Invoice to payment runs in six steps: receive, read, match, resolve, release, then pay and post. The amber lane is one invoice moving through them.
Step
Every station shows who does the work.
At the matching station, an AI model reads the invoice and approved rules match it to its order and receipt. When something differs, an AI agent prepares the question for your team, with the evidence.
Semantic model
One model runs through every floor.
Every department uses the same definitions of supplier, invoice, approval, and owner. That is why one floor can change without breaking the others.
Evidence
The building keeps score.
Every invoice leaves a trace: how long it took, where it waited, which exceptions it raised. liquidOS watches those traces; here they point to one station, where invoices wait for release.
Adaptation
Then it reshapes itself.
liquidOS finds the cause and proposes a change. It tests the change on past invoices, applies it once the owner approves, and checks that invoices flow again; the previous shape stays ready to bring back.
Boundaries
Liquid. Never loose.
Change happens inside limits people set. Each agent has admitted tools, budgets, and permissions; every change ships with tests, review, and its owner's approval.
Underneath
Everything you saw runs on Firefly capabilities.
Under each part of the building, a Firefly capability is at work: business processes, AI agents, the corporate brain, and the software factory, on Firefly's application frameworks. liquidOS composes them from your model.
Where we are
Building what comes next, one service at a time.
liquidOS, the layer that composes Firefly's capabilities from your model, is in development, starting with one complete service: invoice to payment.
Our first service, step by step
- ContractNowDefine one service: its outcome, owner, objects, and limits.
- CompositionRun it as a process with rules, agents, and a human task.
- New capabilityBuild one missing integration with the software factory.
- AdaptationImprove it from a real incident, with a way back.
Your turn
Your enterprise's next shape.
We are building liquidOS now. Tell us your first service, and we will show you how it takes shape.
Model. Operation. Evidence. Evolution.
